There is no such thing as bad weather – just bad clothing.
Yes we run tours in the rain and cold! However, if we have not started your tour and weather or unsafe course conditions (i.e. newly fallen trees, lightning) causes Lake Lanier Canopy Tours to cancel your tour, you will be refunded your investment fully or you may reschedule your tour for another date at no expense to you. LLCT will not operate if it is lighting – we adhere to the protocols published by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. LLCT will operate if it is cold. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER! LLCT does not have any clothing or rain gear to lend out to participants.
Now, to break it down even more…if your tour is in progress and bad weather conditions force us to stop zipping, then your stellar guides will decide the best and most efficient exit from the tour. There are multiple options for exiting the tour; how your group exits the tour depends on your specific location at the time the decision to exit the tour has been made.
If your group completed 75% or more of the tour, then your tour will be over on this day and you will be offered a 25% discount for any of our other tours on another day. If your group has completed less than 75% of your tour, then once all participants have safely exited the tour and made their way to shelter, all tours will ‘wait out the weather’ and then restart the tour! It’s like getting an ice cream cone with 3 scoops, eating 2 of the scoops, dropping the last one on the ground and then getting another ice cream cone with 3 scoops for free!
If course availability does not allow for the masses to all get back on the tour once the weather clears, then discounts will be given based off of where each tour group was when they exited the tour.
